- 1 1/2 cups rolled oats

Instructions
- Preheat & Prep:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners or lightly grease it.
- Soften the figs:
Place chopped figs in a small bowl and cover with hot water. Let soak for 5–10 minutes, then drain and set aside.
- Mix the wet ingredients:
In a large bowl, mash the bananas. Add eggs, applesauce, maple syrup, milk, and vanilla. Stir until well combined.
- Add the dry ingredients:
Stir in oats, flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Fold in the softened chopped figs.
- Fill the muffin tin:
Divide the batter evenly among the 12 muffin cups. Optional: sprinkle tops with a few extra oats for texture.
- Bake:
Bake for 20–22 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to a rack to cool completely.
