National Cheese Lovers Day ~ Friday Humor

The original of the National Cheese Lovers Day is unknown. However, it is believed that the first cheese was created by chance. The first record of cheese making was recorded in 5,500 BCE in Poland. Today, there are about 1,400 varieties of cheese.

How Cheese is Produced

It is a relatively straightforward process. The first step is to coagulate the casein protein or let the milk sour. Afterward, the curds are separated from the whey. Salt is then added to the curds and left to age. Bacteria or fungi may be added at various stages alongside milk. The cheese’s color, taste, and texture depend on the temperature, time, and moisture.

Cheese is rich in nutrients, with cottage and mozzarella cheese at the lower end of fat, mascarpone, and cream cheese high on it.
