Take Her Shopping
Taking your wife shopping is the easiest way to avoid the birthday gift minefield. She gets to enjoy your company while she tries on clothes and shoes, and you get to pay for whatever she decides she needs the most.
But even if you prefer to keep her gift as a special surprise, you can still take her shopping in the weeks prior to the big day as this will be a valuable fishing exercise.

If your marriage is relatively new, don’t go overboard and spend a fortune on a diamond necklace (unless you are rich), but if you have been together a while, spend as much as you can afford or she will think you are a cheapskate.
A Romantic Weekend Getaway
Nothing says true love like a romantic mini break. Paris is the ultimate city of romance for lovers everywhere, so if you really want to surprise your wife on her special day, treat her to a 5 star hotel and tickets to see a show at the Moulin Rouge.
Alternatively, if you don’t have time to book a weekend away, take her to a fancy boutique hotel for the night somewhere local and splash out on a suite with a bottle of chilled champagne.
Spa Treatments
All women love to be pampered, so if you really want to score some brownie points with your beloved, book her a spa day.
She’ll adore it and you will reap the benefits when she comes home waxed and relaxed.
Flowers and Chocolates
